Even when something has been cut down, God can still bring life near the water.
This stump may look finished, but it’s sitting beside the stream — a reminder that what stays close to the source can still be renewed. Sometimes God allows pruning, cutting back, or clearing away, not to destroy us, but to prepare the ground for something stronger.
Lord, keep me rooted near You today. When I feel cut back, tired, or uncertain, remind me that You are still working. Let my life stay close to Your living water, and bring new growth in the places I thought were finished. Give me strength, peace, and courage for today. Amen.
“Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord… like a tree planted by the water.” — Jeremiah 17:7-8
