Australian Concrete Company of America Dsgnr (Designer) Concrete Established 2016

Accoa, LLC - Dsgnr Concrete; was created in October 2015 and founded on March 21, 2016 by Sole Member, MTSU Concrete Industry Management BS alum, and Executive MBA CIM candidate Thomas V. Harris Jr.

​ Upon returning from serving as Quality Assurance Manager for Clive Arona's Multi-Crete, Pty, Ltd. with locations in both Canberra, ACT and the Gold Coast of Brisbane, Australia, Tom embarked on his vision of founding a concrete brand that explicitly reflected on his hopes for the future of the Middle Tennessee concrete industry. A brand with not only a superior product, but also a conscientious footprint; a brand whose reputation is built on over-achievement and not just simple satisfaction; a brand with a culture so adept it begets a nature of exclusivity.

The unique name and logo for Accoa was first conceived on the hills below Telstra Tower and the parks of Lake Burley Griffin during Tom's final days in Canberra, Australia. As an illustration of respect to the young country's pride and overwhelming pioneer spirit, Australian Concrete Company of America was notated Accoa and national landmarks placed on the left of the logo's skyline. With Nashville's "Batman Building" as its centerpiece, the right side of the logo's skyline consist of American landmarks including the "Blue Horseshoe" located at Walnut Grove on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.

Originally intended to be based and solely service Murfreesboro, early success drove demand, and Accoa, LLC extend operations to the greater Nashville area in the fall of its inaugural year. With reputation and credibility as early focus points, Accoa sought rapport and aligned itself with community organizers such as the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, TDOT DBE, and Nashville Area BBB. Even early patrons tailored their company / customer exchange, innovating the means and methods of delivery, creating a more neighborly union. Now, in its fifth year of operations, Accoa continues to strive towards those principles.
