It’s about to get REALLY COLD, y’all!! The rule of thumb for pipes bursting is 4-6 hours straight of temperatures 20°F or colder and we set for snow Sunday and then could be sitting at 108 straight hours of below freezing temps.

A few reminders:
1. Keep your temperature at 55 degrees or higher and open sink cabinet doors
2. Turn on your faucets to leave a small stream especially those on exterior walls and farthest from the water heater
3. Know where your emergency shut off valve is in the event that you do have a pipe burst

PSA: if you aren’t already dripping your faucets, it’s a good idea to go into each room and run them for a few minutes to get the water flowing.
