If floors could talk, this one would have plenty of stories to tell!

Originally poured in the late 1950s, this concrete slab had decades of history hidden beneath layers of tile glue, carpet adhesive, and old overlayment.

Our team at Upcrete took on the challenge of stripping away years of buildup, grinding down to the original concrete, and restoring this nearly 70-year-old slab into a beautiful matte-finish polished concrete floor.

What makes this floor truly unique is the heavy aggregate exposure and natural character throughout the slab. Every stone, variation, and imperfection tells a piece of its history. Rather than covering it all up again, we brought that character back to life!

Another garage brought back to life the right way.
We started by chiseling out the failing overlay along the garage stem wall and installing a new overlay to create a clean, solid finish. From there, we removed a failing epoxy coating throughout this four-car garage. The previous system had not been properly prepped, resulting in poor adhesion and peeling.
Once the old coating was completely removed, we mechanically ground and properly prepared the concrete before installing our Shop Floor System. We applied a tinted epoxy base coat, allowed it to cure, thoroughly sanded the surface, and finished it with a gray-tinted high-wear urethane.
Proper surface preparation is the foundation of every quality coating system. This system provides exceptional durability, chemical resistance, and a clean, professional appearance built for demanding shop and garage environments.

🔥 When it’s so hot outside you start adding custom A/C accessories to the propane grinder. 😂 A battery-powered fan strapped on top and pointed straight at the operator gets the job done!
Another commercial project completed by Upcrete in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
For this project, we installed a polyaspartic flake flooring system, but proper prep came first. After mechanically grinding the concrete, we uncovered several areas of chipped and scaling concrete that needed attention. We repaired and leveled those areas to create a solid, uniform surface before moving forward with the coating system.
Proper preparation and repairs make all the difference when it comes to the appearance and longevity of a commercial floor.
