🏠 TERMITES WORK OUT OF SIGHT. Know the signs. Have a plan.
Termites can damage wood behind walls and beneath floors long before you notice a problem. Protecting your home or business starts with an inspection.
🔎 WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR?
• Mud tubes along foundations, crawlspaces, or other surfaces
• Winged termites indoors or piles of discarded wings near windows and doors
• Wood that sounds hollow or has hidden feeding galleries
• Unexplained damage to baseboards, trim, or drywall
These clues deserve a closer look—damage alone doesn’t tell you whether termites are still active.
🛡️ WHY CONSIDER TERMITE BAIT STATIONS?
✅ Colony-focused control: Foraging workers feed on the bait and share it with other colony members, helping control the colony.
✅ Discreet installation: Stations are installed in the ground around the structure.
✅ Targeted application: Bait stays inside stations, reducing the need for extensive liquid soil treatment when a baiting program suits the property.
✅ Ongoing monitoring: Station inspections help track feeding activity and determine when service or bait replacement is needed.
Bait stations are a maintained protection program. Termites must find and feed on the bait, and results take time.
🔦 WHAT DOES WARD’S LOOK FOR?
My inspections focus on visible evidence in accessible areas: termite activity, mud tubes, wood damage, moisture concerns, and conditions such as wood-to-soil contact that can help termites reach your building.
I’ll explain what I find, discuss inspection limitations, and recommend treatment options suited to your property. Ward’s installs Trelona ATBS termite bait stations and offers treatment for active infestations.
You don’t have to wait until you see damage to schedule an inspection.
