👍 Yep, it can be done. 🌱

Is extreme summer heat the ideal time to install sod? No. But sometimes projects can’t wait—and with the right installation and aftercare, new sod can still be successfully established.

The key is doing it right from the start.

1. Proper soil preparation before the first roll goes down.
2. Making sure irrigation coverage is correct.
3. Installing fresh sod properly and efficiently.
4. Giving our clients clear watering instructions for those critical first weeks.
5. Making sure you know what to watch for and how to adjust as the sod begins rooting.

Our goal is never to complete a job and just leave. It’s to give you the knowledge and tools you need to help protect your investment after installation.

Hot? Absolutely. 🥵

Let’s be real… 🌿

Anyone can buy a few plants. And with a little luck, they may get them in the ground and have some success.

But a truly finished landscape that you can love and enjoy is about SO much more!

It starts with a professional design, the right plants in the right places, and the knowledge to make sure they thrive for years to come. Then it’s the details that bring it all together—clean lines, decorative edging and quality mulch or rock.

The difference between “we planted some shrubs” and “wow, that looks incredible” is all in the planning and ex*****on. 🤩

Landscaping isn’t just a spring project.

This is a great example of why planning and installation can happen year-round in Oklahoma. The landscape at Mabrey Bank was completely redesigned and installed in December, and look at it now. ☀️

Trees, shrubs, irrigation, hardscapes, and many landscape improvements can be installed throughout much of the year. The best designs are the ones that are created with every season in mind.

Well, that’s a wrap on another Muskogee project — this time at the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. 🎶

Fun fact: this isn’t our first opportunity to help shape our hometown. We also completed the renovation of Depot Green across the street in late 2020 and were proud to be part of the Main Street Muskogee project a few years later.

What makes these projects even more special is that they’re completed by local people for the community they call home. Every member of our team works full-time in Muskogee, and all but one live here. They eat lunch at local restaurants, shop at local businesses, and their kids attend local schools.

Every plant and product used on this project was grown and sourced right here in Oklahoma, with many of the plants being grown in Muskogee. Before they ever made it to the job site, they were cared for by an incredible team of ladies at our store, Wood Co Outdoor Living, on North Main Street.

We believe investing locally matters. When Muskogee supports local businesses, those businesses are able to reinvest right back into the community through jobs, projects, and improvements that make our city stronger.
