Your roof is only as strong as its weakest link. By mixing and matching products and using a three tab shingle as caps you simply devalue your roof and it’s warranty. 3 tab shingles when bent will crack unlike cap shingles that are designed to be installed over the ridge. Contractors try to save a few dollars by mixing products. Don’t let cheap contractors ruin your roof without you knowing it. Ask!
