We have finished the deck project at Kill Devil Hills. Final Inspections passed today. This one is beautiful. Check our video walkthrough.

Our deck rebuild in Kill Devil Hills is going smoothly. We passed our initial inspections and we are starting deck boards and rails. We should be wrapping this one up in another week or two with final inspections.

Curtis Bros has fulfilled all requirements of a Virginia Class A license. We have to wait on DPOR, which can take around 6 months. Once DPOR approves our license, we will be serving our Virginia customers from Chesapeake/Virginia Beach north to Richmond all along the I64 corridor. This deck rebuild in Kill Devil Hills comes with an interesting story, and one that helps explains why and how Curtis Bros is a different contractor experience.

These homeowners were unable to find a reputable contractor to build this project for them. After nearly 6 months of searching, they had all but given up. Then they saw a Facebook ad for Curtis Bros Contracting, and that's how our story begins.

Allow me to explain why these homeowners were unable to find a contractor. This particular project required a complete rebuild, including stamped plans and a permit. In North Carolina, a contractor does not need a license to legally perform work if a project is under $40,000.
