💧 Hot water acting up? This family was getting random hot-to-cold swings throughout their entire house. At first glance, a shower cartridge might have been the culprit; but after asking more questions, we traced it to the water heater.

They had a recirculation pump without a check valve, which was forcing hot water into the cold line! Instead of replacing all the fixtures (like another quote suggested), we reworked the water heater plumbing and installed a check valve and a ball valve for serviceability. ✅

Problem solved. Hot water is back, steady and reliable. Another happy customer, another job done right!

This customer had old cast iron piping, a completely corroded waste & overflow, and an old drum trap that was barely hanging on. On top of that, the home still had old galvanized water lines, which were starting to restrict flow and cause ongoing issues.

Here’s what we did:

🔧 Cut out all the failing drainage piping
🔧 Drilled out the old lead & oakum from the cast-iron hub
🔧 Installed a brand-new waste & overflow assembly
🔧 Added a new P-trap and drain line tied back into the cast iron
🔧 Replaced the old seats and stems in the tub/shower valve with new trim for a smooth, leak-free operation

We also talked with the homeowner about the condition of their galvanized water lines and recommended a full water repipe to prevent future leaks, improve water pressure, and bring the whole system up to modern standards.

The result?
A completely refreshed and properly functioning tub/shower system that’s ready to last for years.

We recently got a call from a homeowner concerned about a high water bill. After a thorough inspection of the plumbing system, we discovered the issue — a small pinhole leak in the water main, losing about 0.12 gallons per minute.

We presented the customer with several repair options:

A spot repair

Full trench and water main replacement

Directional boring for a new line

After reviewing the pros and cons, the customer chose the most efficient and cost-effective route: a precise spot repair.

With the exact leak location verified, we carefully hand-dug to access the line, cut out the damaged section, and made the repair. Once our test passed with zero leaks, we backfilled the trench, compacted the soil, and relaid the sod so that you'd hardly know we were ever there.
