We were finishing a job at a local buffet style business and traded the value of our service without money. Please remember to support these shuttered businesses during this crisis, theyโ€™re making a great sacrifice for us.

๐Ÿ‚๐ŸAnother busy season has come to an end with the arrival of fall colors; with the colors comes the changing of the outdoor temperatures. Indoors, we will switch the thermostat from cooling to heat mode and we will expect the climate indoors to remain comfortable. Itโ€™s a good idea to perform a few basic checks in order to succeed in this transition. First, check or replace the furnace filter. Second, make sure all vents are open and without obstruction; this ensures the volume of air passing through the furnace prevents damaging temperature extremes, or failures. Third, have a service professional check to make sure the ignition system is clean and operational; most failures occur due to these basic steps being neglected. Mention this post and we will wave the trip charge. Stay warm, my friends. โ„๏ธโ˜ƒ๏ธ

With the weather warming, our refrigeration equipment needs the coils cleaned and air filters replaced. Refrigerators need condenser coils brushed, and outdoor air conditioner coils washed with a garden sprayer. Save yourself hundreds of dollars by checking them before the hot weather falls upon us all.๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒž

This month of January has brought extra business when safety switches fail on furnaces with blocked filters. The newer furnaces have a fan safety switch that shuts off the heat and turns on the blower to prevent excessive heat inside the heat exchanger. I get the call when the switch gets stuck in the fail mode. Save the money and replace the filter often. I replace mine each month using a medium quality pleated (washboard style) filter. This will help with air quality and extend the life of the furnace.
