🔨 Building Skills. Building Careers. Building the Future.

Another group of apprentices is putting in the work during their framing class in the Ford Drywall & Stucco shop! 👷‍♂️💪

Our structured shop training gives apprentices the opportunity to get hands-on with the trade in a controlled environment, learning proper framing techniques, working with the materials, and building the skills they’ll carry with them into the field.

It’s all part of the Ford way, investing the time, training, and experience into the next generation of skilled tradespeople. 🛠️

🏗️ Lunch & Learn with Dryvit

Yesterday, our team had the opportunity to sit down with Dryvit for a Lunch & Learn focused on waterproofing systems and EIFS assemblies.

These sessions are a great way for our team to stay current on manufacturer requirements, proper installation practices, and complete wall assembly solutions that we can carry into the field.

A big thank you to Dryvit and ABC Supply for taking the time to share their knowledge with our team and for continuing to support education in our industry! 👏

🔊 Lunch & Learn | Sound Isolation Systems

Today, our team at Ford Drywall & Stucco had the opportunity to sit down with Ketchum Walton Company for an informative Lunch & Learn focused on sound isolation systems.

We discussed different sound isolation solutions, how they work within wall and ceiling assemblies, and the important role proper installation plays in achieving the intended acoustic performance. 🏗️🔇

Continuing education like this helps keep our team informed on the systems and products we install in the field and gives us a better understanding of how every component contributes to the overall performance of an assembly.

A big thank you to the Ketchum Walton team for spending time with us and sharing their knowledge! 👏

The Ford Way | Hands-On Training 🛠️

This week, six of our Ford Drywall & Stucco apprentices stepped away from the jobsite and into our shop for Week 1 of our structured hands-on training, designed to build on the experience and skills they are already developing in the field.

Keeping the class to six apprentices gives our trainers the opportunity to work closely with each person in a controlled environment. Proper techniques can be demonstrated, practiced, corrected, and repeated, giving each apprentice valuable one-on-one time and the opportunity to strengthen their skills before applying them back in the field.

Today, the group completed the first week of this shop-based training and received their certifications recognizing the work they accomplished throughout the week.

At Ford Drywall & Stucco, developing skilled tradespeople means combining real-world jobsite experience with dedicated instruction and hands-on practice. It also means taking the time to pass along the knowledge, craftsmanship, and standards that have been built through years of experience.

Congratulations to this week’s group on completing this stage of their training.

Investing in our people and building the next generation of skilled tradespeople. That’s the Ford way.

🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

We honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger, the ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary bravery, and all those who answered the call to serve in the years that followed.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives, the sacrifice, and the unity our nation found in the face of tragedy.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸
