One phone call. More than 20 homes. And a partnership that continues today.

When Leslie Sherman, owner of Calusa Bay Interior Design and Managing Partner of Calusa Bay Development, first began looking for a builder, she didn’t have an existing relationship with Knauf-Koenig Group.

She simply picked up the phone and called KKG Co-Founder, Matt Knauf.

The rest is history.

Two Park Shore homes Leslie admired had been built by Knauf-Koenig Group. After meeting Matt and seeing the craftsmanship behind those homes, a partnership began—one that would eventually lead Leslie to trust KKG with something even more personal: building her own home.

Now, 11 years later, her personal home still remains timeless.

Since that first phone call, Calusa Bay and Knauf-Koenig Group have worked together on more than 20 homes, building a relationship rooted in trust, quality, and a shared commitment to exceptional homes.

We sat down with Leslie to hear how it all began, why she chose KKG for her own home, and what has kept this partnership going all these years.
