For this beautiful new wood fence installation in Bristol, Indiana, the homeowner wanted the fence to be pre-stained before installation. The challenge? Their HOA had specific approved colors that needed to be followed.

Big shout out to Backyard Pools — this is now the THIRD pool project this year that we’ve partnered with them on for fencing, and this one turned out beautiful.

With this home sitting right on a golf course, the backyard sees plenty of foot and cart traffic passing by throughout the day. The homeowners wanted more than just standard pool safety — they wanted added privacy and security to help prevent unwanted access to the property while still maintaining an upscale, open look.

Some properties don’t need complete isolation just the right amount of privacy.

For this home in Elkhart, the long open driveway left the property feeling a little too exposed, especially during windy days. Kaiden and the crew helped change that with the installation of a beautiful 6' clay vinyl privacy fence finished with New England caps.

The warm clay color paired with the decorative caps gave the project a clean, upscale look while also creating a much more private and comfortable entrance to the property.

Beyond the appearance, the new fence also serves as an effective wind break, helping make the outdoor space feel more protected and enjoyable year-round.

⚠️ PSA: Not all fence companies and not all vinyl fences are created equal.

This week, Jesus and the crew have been in Avilla, Indiana helping two neighboring families re-secure their backyards after recent storms caused their vinyl fences to completely fail.

Unfortunately, the damage created a serious safety concern, allowing pets and children potential access to a very busy nearby road.

What makes this especially frustrating?
These fences were only a few years old.

Many homeowners choose vinyl fencing because they believe they’re investing in a long-lasting, maintenance-free solution. But the truth is, the materials and installation methods behind the fence matter just as much as the appearance.

Here’s where these systems failed:

The original fences used smaller 4x4 vinyl posts instead of stronger 5x5 posts. Inside those posts were wood inserts buried directly into the ground. Meaning the structure still carried the same long-term rot risks as a traditional wood fence.

The rails were also attached externally with plastic brackets rather than using an internal locking rail system. Under heavy wind loads, that becomes a major weak point.

Fortunately, both homeowners called Mike’s Fencing for a lasting solution.

Jesus and the crew installed our Superior vinyl fence systems featuring:
• Steel posts driven deep into the ground
• 5x5 vinyl posts secured with donuts and lag screws
• Internally secured rails designed to stay locked together
• Locking pickets that resist separation during high winds

In other words a system designed to actually perform when weather hits.

It was definitely a Kosciusko County kind of week for the crews. 💪

From commercial upgrades to lake property improvements, we had projects happening all across the area.

In Warsaw, Indiana, we installed a sleek 6' black PVC privacy fence for Lake City Heat Treat to screen and protect an electrical box area while keeping a clean professional appearance around the property.

Not far away, another homeowner chose 229’ of 4' tall aluminum fence featuring a flush bottom design a detail that makes a huge difference for lawn maintenance. No more fighting the mower deck or catching pickets with the w**d eater every weekend. Just a clean look with easier upkeep.

And over on Irish Lake, we wrapped up 126’ of 4' black vinyl chain link fence, giving the property a durable, low-maintenance enclosure that blends nicely into the landscape without blocking the view.

Different properties. Different needs. Same goal every time:

This lake house project in Cassopolis, Michigan is a great example of that balance done right.

The homeowners wanted the privacy and security of a full 6' fence but without making their property feel completely closed off from the lake-house atmosphere and great neighbors around them.

Their choice? A beautiful white vinyl privacy fence with lattice accent across the top.

The lattice detail softens the look, opens up the feel of the yard, and adds just the right amount of style while still giving plenty of privacy where it matters most. A York accent top would create a similar effect, and both options are becoming increasingly popular for lake properties and higher-end residential homes.
