Biscuits at 3am on Sunday? YEAH!… well, kinda.
Biscuit joints on face frames for a barn style red oak dog gate. Milled and chopped. Lots of sawdust created 🪚🧹
Even the Fab Four are digging them. 😉
I’ll miter and mount the cross braces once these frames are mounted.
Great to be back in the shop after a month of musical projects.

When told me he had been gifted this beautiful, custom made Love Symbol guitar but he didn’t have a case for it, I knew I was the person for the job. I also knew I wanted the case to match. It’s also Todd, so it needed to be plush and C-O-O-L!
I’d also never built a guitar case, so of course why not start with a shape as challenging as this? 🤣
I think the case turned out pretty well. How about you?

Great thing is now knowing exactly how fast the safety system works, as this was my first (and hopefully only) activation.

My hands were safely away from the blade but the fence was just a little too close.

One loud BANG, a few moments of shock figuring out what exactly happened, followed by a fairly quick blade/cartridge change and reset. I couldn’t be happier to have this PCS saw in my shop. It gives me piece of mind, knowing if that were my finger or hand, I’d have a tiny little cut rather than an amputation or worse!

Assembled this NOS craftsman rotating tool stand passed down to me from a family member. This will double as outfeed for my table saw and as an assembly-work table. The center rotates, holding up to three machines. Currently outfitted with the scroll saw and belt/disk sander.
Time to get working!

I’ve been on tour pretty much non stop since mid-May of 2022. While I’m not complaining by any means, it hasn’t allowed for much time for customer, shop or home projects. That will soon change…

In the United States alone there are more than 30,000 table saw injuries annually, a large percentage of them leading to amputation. Being a musician first and foremost, that scares the hell out of me.
technology helps to reduce that number vastly. Their technology cannot replace common sense and proper practices on a table saw, BUT it CAN save your fingers/hands.
I’m ecstatic to say that I’ll be introducing this amazing piece of technology into the shop soon. If you aren’t familiar, search YouTube and Google to learn more about Sawstop.
