one of my favorite giants to baby. 58” DBH sugar maple here in leipers fork. this tree could very well be 200 years old and growing when the wagon pulled up to the wagon steps at the street.

you just can’t have a successful day ending with an awesome crane job and not get kissed by the trailer 5 mins before you get in the truck to go home….. i mean it just wouldn’t be right. 🤦🏼‍♂️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE DOGS! moo moo and brad and their brothers and sisters out there. they are 12 years old!!! i can’t believe it a little grayer a little lazier but still all my babies….. well their bday was like two weeks ago but it dosent matter. everyday is their bday to me.

kind of a bitter sweet afternoon. i dropped off about half of the walnut we removed in nashville milled stacked and stickered. its all been air drying for a couple years now. i had dreams of turning all this into furniture but when we had to move out of the shop two years ago all that went out the window. i have all the tools but nowhere to create. bummer. well at least the walnut found a good home with someone that will make cool stuff out of it. that makes me happy and relieved.
