2️⃣The Photo-Eye Test: Wave an object (like a broom handle) in front of the laser sensors at the bottom of your door tracks while it's closing. The door should immediately reverse.
3️⃣The Balance Test: Disconnect the opener and lift the door manually. It should lift smoothly with little resistance and stay open about 3 to 4 feet above the ground. If it slams shut or feels incredibly heavy, the springs are out of balance.
