So finally here is the final picture after the install. This was certainly one of the bigger projects I’ve done, but it all went well, fit just as planned.

Got the maple countertops all machined, glue up, stained, sealed and lacquered. Must have deleted the pictures I had of them along the way. Can only find this one picture that the base cabinets are somewhat in place to make sure the fit was good. Next is the install.

So all the plywood has been cut up for the boxes, put together, and face frames installed. Made sure the doors fit 👌🏼👍🏼 Now it’s on to every woodworkers “favorite” part, the sanding, and more sanding, and then probably some more sanding 🤷🏼‍♂️ Then these will get a couple coats of primer and two coats of paint.

Now that the face frames and doors are all glued up, it’s time to get everything to fit. Trying to make sure there is a 3/32” gap on all sides for inset doors takes a few hours of time, but the finished look is worth the effort.

So following up our last post of the CAD drawings of our next three projects, we will start with the biggest unit first. This is the beginning of a 12’ x 8’ set of built-in cabinets for a customers living room. Here’s the lumber ready to be jointed and planed, then cut to final widths and lengths.

Happy 4th of July to everyone out there! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

It’s been a strange past few months for all of us, not only in the 🇺🇸 but the rest of the world as well. Trying to get things back to the way we all enjoyed at one time will come. Be patient. Stay safe.

So here are the next three projects we have going. A set of built-ins, and two laundry room sets of cabinets. Trying to get the hang of this computer design. Certainly gives a good visual to the customer.

Drawers were installed, handles, k***s all complete. All doors and drawer fronts built from German White Oak and Soft Red Flamed Maple fall off from the guitar parts. Rather than scrap it, why not use it. So this project is all wrapped up. If you happen to be a dealer of CF Martin you just may see this in person.
