At Creative Concrete & Masonry, we don’t believe in “quick” floors — we believe in floors that LAST.

That’s why we install a Hybrid Epoxy System instead of the cheap one-day coatings many companies push.

A true hybrid system combines the deep penetrating strength of industrial epoxy with the durability and UV protection of a polyaspartic top coat. The result is a floor with superior adhesion, better longevity, and long-term performance. Many fast one-day systems cure so quickly they don’t properly pe*****te the concrete, which can lead to peeling, bubbling, hot tire pickup, and coating failure over time.

Our process takes more time because we do it the right way:

Description
E5 Internal Cure is the first admixture proven to provide internal curing of concrete. It controls the ev***ration of the mix water to ensure increased hydration of cement. E5 Internal Cure replaces the need for traditional wet cure and curing compounds, while also making the concrete easier to pump, place, and finish.

E5 Internal Cure increases the density of the concrete matrix, resulting in a highly durable surface which is resistant to abrasion and chemical attack even in heavy traffic areas and under freeze-thaw conditions.

E5 Internal Cure admixture gives control back to the finisher, even in inclement weather conditions.

E5 Internal Cure can be added to every yard of concrete including: exterior pavement, parking garages, structural walls, columns, footings, civil infrastructure, interior slab on grade and slab on metal decks.

Before you trust any of them, there's one question that matters more than everything written on the warranty page: How long has the company offering it actually been in business?

It is a simple question, but one that reveals far more than warranty length ever will.

Why Warranty Length Is the Wrong Thing to Focus On:

Most homeowners assume that a longer warranty means a better garage floor coating. In reality, warranty length often has very little to do with long-term performance.

Across the industry, especially among 1-day garage floor coating companies, business lifespans tend to follow a predictable pattern:

🚨 Why a PROPER flake floor needs a Moisture V***r Barrier Basecoat🚨

A long-lasting flake system should start with an MVB (moisture v***r barrier) epoxy base coat. Concrete continuously releases moisture v***r, and an MVB epoxy is engineered to mitigate that v***r while penetrating and bonding deep into the slab. This step is critical to prevent delamination, bubbling, and premature coating failure.

While polyurea is a great product in the right application, it’s not ideal as a base coat on bare concrete because:

• It cures too fast to properly absorb into the concrete
• It does not mitigate moisture v***r transmission
• It relies more on surface adhesion rather than deep pe*******on
• Moisture pressure from the slab can cause bond failure over time

The result? A floor that may look good short-term, but lacks long-term reliability.

⚠️ Topcoat matters just as much
No matter who installs your floor, make sure your topcoat is polyaspartic….not epoxy.

• Epoxy yellows over time
• Epoxy isn’t UV stable
• Epoxy wears and scratches easier
• Epoxy fails faster in sun-exposed garages

Polyaspartic is UV-stable, abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant, and built for real-world use.
