We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Wesley Brunk. To most people in the garage door community, Wes was a well-known and respected name but to us, he was so much more. He was a mentor, a friend, and, most importantly, someone who truly became family.

Wes was the one who believed in George from the very beginning. He taught him the ropes, encouraged and supported him as this business was built from the ground up. Because of that, Wes has been woven into our lives in a way that words barely capture. He didn’t just treat George like family…he embraced his wife and us kids the same way. Honestly, we’re not sure Wes ever met a stranger. He had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. His smile could light up a room!

His legacy lives on not only in the people he loved, but also in the business he built with such pride,Brunk's Overhead Doors LLC, which his sons and friend Jonathan continue to run today, carrying forward the values and kindness he was known for.

Please keep his wife, Nancy; his siblings; his children—Debbie, Nelson, John, and Sarah; his grandchildren; and all of his family and friends in your thoughts. Wes touched so many lives, and he will be deeply missed.
