🌳 Planning a Tree Planting This Fall? Now Is the Time to Reserve Your Trees.

Fall is one of our favorite times of year to plant trees, but larger trees take some planning ahead.

If you’re wanting 10' and larger trees planted this fall or before next spring, we need to have those trees reserved in August to make sure we can get the sizes and varieties you want.

Whether you’re looking for shade, privacy, screening, or simply adding some mature structure to your landscape, now is the time to start planning.

If a fall tree planting is on your list, give us a call or send us a message this month so we can help select the right trees and get them spoken for.

With very little rain over the past month and temperatures near 100° this week, lawns, trees, and landscape plants are under a lot of heat and drought stress.

A few simple watering habits can help:

• Water deeply 2–3 times per week rather than lightly every day.
• Water overnight or very early in the morning so more moisture reaches the root zone instead of evaporating.
• Give trees and shrubs a slow, thorough soaking, especially anything planted this year.
• New sod and newly planted landscapes may need more frequent watering until roots are established.

The goal during stretches like this is simply to keep enough moisture in the soil to protect the root system until we get some cooler weather and rain.

A little extra attention now can go a long way toward keeping your lawn and landscape healthy through the heat.

If you are starting to see some areas like this in your yard it is probably brown patch fungus. With all the rain we have had this year it looks like it could be bad, even on yards without irrigation.
