Good morning and Happy Friday! I hope your week was a good one. I'm going to enjoy this long weekend and get some extra stuff done around the house. The little bit of rain we had this morning didn't do a whole of anything, except maybe make a few of the puddles a little bit bigger, but oh well. Mother Nature decided we needed it anyway. I hope you have big plans for this "last hurrah" of a weekend. Whatever you do, be safe. Don't forget that all residential services, including yard waste, are delayed by one day next week. You still need to call in by 5pm on Sunday for yard waste to be picked up on Tuesday. Whatever your weekend holds, remember to show kindness and share a smile. Make it a great one!

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! So the weekend didn't go as planned, but that's ok, I pivoted to make things work for me. Parade was cancelled due to lightning, which was smart. I got my errands ran, went and visited a friend, then came home and got to cleaning. With the longer weekend this weekend, I will hopefully be able to get my craft room done so that I can continue working on things that I started before I decided to re-do my crafting space. I hope you had a good weekend despite the rain. This week will be hot, so make sure you stay hydrated, check on your neighbors, the elderly and don't forget the fur-babies. Good morning and Happy Friday! I hope you all had a fantastic week and got to spend some of it outside enjoying the nice weather. I'm fortunate to be able to have the door open here at work so that I can hear the birds and see the sunshine. I also walk to work most days so I get to enjoy the outdoors that way, too. If you're not doing anything this weekend, it's Lincoln Highway Days here in Nevada. The parade is tomorrow morning and the Rodeo is tomorrow night, but there are things going on all day, too. Good morning and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and were able to get out and enjoy some of it. I got to spend most of Saturday with the grandsons. The older 2 were not ready to go back to school, as I'm sure most kiddos weren't. I was told the shelves at some of the stores in Ames were empty, that must mean that all of the students are back now. Good morning and Happy Friday! I hope your week was enjoyable and that you get to spend a fun weekend with your children before they head back to school next week. If you don't have children in school, breathe a sigh of relief as you don't need to worry about all the stuff that comes with the next week--papers, signups, sports, etc. However, we all need to be aware and mindful of the buses and bus stops so the kiddos stay safe. Biggest rule--don't go around a stopped school bus, especially if the stop arm is out. Patience is the key for the next few weeks as everyone gets adjusted to the routine again. Good morning and Happy Monday. I trust you had a fantastic week. The rain was just enough to take the edge off the dryness for a while. Move-ins should be wrapping up and now comes the time for all that "extra" stuff that didn't work out in the new place to be tossed or donated (hopefully, the latter one). Grocery stores will be packed as well as Target/Wal-Mart, so be prepared. If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, it's Old Settler's weekend in Maxwell. Lots of stuff to check out.
