Key word is licensed and insured. When you are looking for a contractor or home builder ask for their credentials. Ask if they are licensed by the state of Georgia and carry general liability insurance. Ask to provide thus said credentials. If they can't pull a building permit, guess what, they are not licensed to do so. Ask for their work experience. Ask for references of both clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Ask to see their work.

Remember the guys who are insured and licensed may not be the cheapest, but rest assured they are qualified to do the work by the law and by the book. Remember, this is our job. Not a side hustle.
