Myron Terrain Management is hiring-
We are looking for a FULLTIME employee in the Louisville, S. Indiana area and a seasonal PART TIME employee in the Jay County Blackford County area starting immediately running though at least end of May with possible additional add on work for the right candidate.
Pay starts at $21.50 per hour but goes up signifyingly if you have a class a CDL or some other special ability i.e. heavy diesel mechanic, certified welder, or land clearing experience etc...
Below is my rant on who I am looking for-
I pride myself on having built a small team that works to overcome whatever obstacles are placed in front of us and we have worked together for years doing just this. Everyone on my team is a vital member thus we can’t have someone not pulling his or her weight.
We work long days in rough and dangerous conditions and if you only want to sit in a climate controlled cab and listen to podcasts, this is NOT THE JOB FOR YOU. Some days you will be in a cab and then you will be pulling a chain up a 45 degree hill side in 90 degree temperatures to help put a track back on a machine. Zero complaining is a requirement.
Also we do travel extensively at times. IE- we may be working in and around Louisville for 6 months and then may have an out of town job for 6. If you need to be home every night at 5 PM or can’t handle the responsibility of living in a ABNB or hotel this is NOT THE JOB FOR YOU.
It also goes without saying that if you can’t show up on time day in and day out and being without your cell phone is a world ending event, this is NOT THE JOB FOR YOU.
We do not have the time or desire to “babysit” someone who is just here for a paycheck and is watching the clock. The inverse to all of this is that if you prove yourself to be a responsible productive member of the team, this will be one of the easiest jobs you have ever had.
Show up on time, in the right uniform and preform the task at hand to the best of your ability and life will be easy. Don't do these things and you will be looking for another job.
I am open to anyone that is open to learning and growing their skill set. While the posted job requirements above would be nice, I will take someone with healthy work ethic and a desire to learn over someone that is set in their ways and lazy. My end goal is to add another valuable team member for the long haul and continue to grow this business.
