HOMEOWNERS: if you have one of these shut offs called a “saddle valve” please consider getting it replaced. It’s likely old and they only cause problems. Not to mention they are illegal by code.

Updated faucet shut off, ice maker shutoff, and part of the ice maker line for this customer. Ended up finding a pinched section of copper and replaced that as well.

If you are experiencing low pressure throughout your whole house, check on your pressure reducing valve located somewhere along your main water line coming into the house. If it looks old then it’s probably time for replacement!

PSA this is why you hire a plumber. No hate to the person who installed this, I get they were simply trying to get a job done but if you aren’t a plumber or don’t have extensive plumbing experience do not mess with plumbing systems. You WILL end up with bigger and more expensive issues. If this line got fully installed before I came and fixed it then it would have created major issues with the bathroom and ultimately cost WAY more to have a plumber fix it.
