I really enjoy my work.But this project has been fabulous.
The complete restoration of a1857 button blake fire truck for the waterford historical museum.
A new mahogany box and restoration of all parts that came off of the old.
Trips to different museums to make patterns for missing parts. Going through archives, it doesn't get any better than this.
If it does i'm looking forward to it!!!

I got to work with Steamer 10 children's theater when they needed a new railing.

This is a restoration of a 1857 Button Blake pumper fire truck once built in waterford.
I was contracted by the waterford museum in Waterford NY to rebuild this to museum quality.
I traveled 3 different museums to make patterns for missing parts,
The box was made of African mahogany and white oak. I transferred all plumbing into the new box.
The first 2 phases of the project are completed. I will be starting the final two phases in the fall.

Before and after. They wanted a more modern look. I used Cherry with walnut for trim with a 2 1/2" live edge mantle .
