While I will always reccommend a licensed electrician should install your wiring, I know a lot of homeowners wish to save money and do it themselves. It looks easy in you tube videos and diagrams. However meeting the code requirements and safety standards of the Massachusetts Electrical Code must be met by a licensed professional or homeowner. While state law says you can do your own wiring there are limits on what your allowed to do. Homeowners can not install electrical services or panels, including wiring to breakers. New installations require arc fault breakers or outlets and wiring for these devices to function requires careful attention to wiring protocols to limit nusince tripping.
With a consultation visit I can help you fill out the permit application, advise you of correct materials and go over proper installation of circuits, assist in laying out your install or marking up prints for larger installations. Generate material lists and specifications if your looking to get multiple quotes from contractors, so you know they are comparing apples to apples in their pricing.
