A Moment of Silence. A Lifetime of Impact.

Content: Today marks the beginning of Construction Su***de Prevention Week, and it starts with a national Stand-Down for Su***de Prevention—a powerful moment of remembrance and recommitment.

At 1:50 PM Central, please pause for one minute of silence to honor the lives lost to su***de in our industry.

The numbers are sobering:
-The su***de rate in construction is over 5 times the rate of all other jobsite fatalities.
-It’s more than 4 times higher than the general population.
-According to the CDC, there are 56 su***des per 100,000 men and 10.4 per 100,000 women in construction—compared to 14 per 100,000 in the general public.

This is why we stand down. This is why we speak up.

At Pieper, safety means protecting the whole person. Through our Power Surge Wellness Program and partnership with Advocate Health Care’s EAP, we’re committed to supporting our team’s mental health every day.
