Heavy rain tried to slow this one down, but this Elm Grove retaining wall transformation is almost across the finish line. 🌧️💪

For this project, we removed the old stacked-stone wall and uneven steps, then rebuilt the space with a cleaner, stronger, and more intentional retaining wall system. The new walls feature Unilock Pisa XL Smooth in Fieldstone, giving the yard a modern tiered look while still fitting naturally with the home and landscape.

We kept the south wall’s original footprint, adjusted the north wall for better balance and property fit, and added new winding five-foot-wide Fond du Lac steps to create a safer, more comfortable connection between levels.

This project came with real-world challenges: heavy rain, extra debris hauling, and drainage considerations that had to be handled the right way. But that is where good design-build work matters most. Structure, drainage, access, and long-term performance all have to come together behind the finished look.

A big upgrade for this Elm Grove property — and a great example of how the right retaining wall design can completely reshape a yard. 🧱✨
