And so it begins!

The South Windsor Pollution Control Department needs your help! This morning 4 of our 11 pump stations had clogged pumps due to sanitizing wipes and paper towels. These items are not designed to breakup when wet. This picture was taken today from the Pleasant Valley Pump Station showing an operator removing the ball of wipes from the pump. Please help spread the word by cross posting.

As a plumbing contractor dealing with and hearing stories from other contractors, DO NOT flush any type of toilet paper "replacements" (paper towels, wipes, and yes, even clothing, etc.) down the toilet. Not only could/will it cause a fixture blockage and house main drain blockage, it could/will wreak havoc on the public sanitary system.
