This is the best time for your lawn to grow! Most patches or “ dead spots” in your lawn were created from lack of water. The sprinkler didn’t reach or the wind kept the water from falling on a particular area, or perhaps that area just didn’t get enough water. Which ever the case may be it’s a simple fix! Just water that area! Your lawn is growing and grass will grow, reach out and cover that area. That’s why we have to mow and use trimmers along areas that we don’t want grass. Centipede is very forgiving and drought tolerant. It is the easiest to maintain. We have had a lot of rain this growing season but not enough to maintain a fully hydrated lawn. Turn on that irrigation system if you have one, use portable sprinklers if you don’t! We recommend 40 minutes in each area in the early morning before the heat of the sun comes out to maximize watering efficiency. You will have beautiful coverage with less weeds.

How do you keep your lawn green, healthy and growing ? Water and fertilizer! Keep it mowed on a regular basis. Do you have weeds in your lawn? Keep your lawn well fed and hydrated . This will grow a thick lush lawn that will help choke out weeds. Sod thrives in the heat and does it’s best growing ! It does get thirsty so water, water and water it thoroughly! Where do you start? Water ! Water thoroughly and get it hydrated! Once it is hydrated select a low nitrogen fertilizer like 8-8-8 or 5-10-10. Use a 50 lb bag to every 2500-3000 sq feet . Take photos before and after . Go walk barefoot in your beautiful lawn 😎! It’s really that simple !
