A “Journeyman Plumber” is a licensed plumber who has had a minimum of five years of experience under a Master Plumber and has completed an educational training program.

These plumbers need to have a sophisticated understanding of drainage systems, piping, and waste disposal mechanisms. They will be able and willing to work in residential settings as well as factories and water treatment facilities. As a Journeyman Plumber, they will have the required skill to create and install entire plumbing systems, lay piping systems, install bath fixtures, and repair water heaters and dishwashers. This may involve working with tankless water heaters and drain maintenance.

He/She will be able and willing to learn as they complete such tasks as simple home plumbing repairs, bathroom remodels, and commercial projects. As an apprentice at Samaritan Plumbing, they will be given an opportunity to earn while they learn. The training they receive will prepare them for solo jobs, and will give them the chance to observe many common and unique plumbing issues. The apprentice plumber's responsibilities include cleaning water supply, handling common tools, cleaning job sites, etc.
