As we continue up the list, we come to the mound system.

Mounds are designed to treat wastewater in areas with high groundwater, shallow bedrock, or slow-draining/dense soils by using a pressurized sand mound to filter effluent before it enters the natural soil.

In other words they are used in areas with a higher water table.

The next in line would be a chamber or pump system.

This differs from a conventional system because you may need a pump to pump the liquid or effluent up or across to the field.
This system includes a dosing tank, pump, floats, and alarms.
The field may be the same as a conventional.
