A: My equipment induces a tone on a metallic conduit and can be traced for as long as the conduit holds that signal. Existing conduits like electric services, cables, phone lines and even copper water lines can be traced this way. A: If your sewer or septic has a tracer wire, I can easily locate the pipe. Without a tracer, I am able to snake a metallic sewer rod through a cleanout in order to indu
ce a signal through the pipe. Please note that this technique is limited to how far I'm able to snake the rod. MY PVC/POLY WATER LINE NEEDS TO BE LOCATED, CAN YOU HELP? A: If a tracer wire is present, absolutely! If not, if the line is prepped before hand, I can run a snake through the pipe. This kind of prep needs the water to be turned off at the curbstop/well/isolation valve and the plastic pipe cut. Please note I do not offer plumbing services so the disconnection/reconnection and water turn off/on is your responsibility. I HAVE A BURIED WELLHEAD, ARE YOU ABLE TO FIND IT? A: If the well has an electric line to the pump, yes! I will trace the conduit and where the signal stops or dives should be the location of the wellhead. LEAK DETECTION SURVEYS
If you are an association, public water system, utility or operator, I also offer leak detection surveys. The process of this survey involves a site meeting and looking over any existing water system plans in order to locate valves. Using a state of the art ground microphone, I will "listen" to each and every valve to try and pin down the source of any leaks. The next step will be to walk the water main and listen intently at service/main "tees". Depending on the size and scope of the water system, this can be a couple hour service call or a multi-day project. Reach out to me with any questions! OTHER SERVICES
