Next week we will start drywall on the interior and plumbing rough will be completed, hopefully 2 weeks out from interior finishes starting!

JC’s Contracting has the crawlspace dug and footers poured at our addition project! We should be able to start framing next week!

Carpet doesn’t get enough credit for being a great flooring option. Look at how cozy it makes theses rooms feel!

Bedrooms are nearly done just missing closet shelves and door handles, bathroom trim out starts on Monday

While drywall was happening inside we had crew outside getting the last of the windows and doors installed, shingling the new mudroom roof, installing new house wrap and siding the whole house with some white Monogram siding!
•
Brightening up the exterior with new siding really brought the exterior to life!
•
If you look closely on the mudroom you will notice a door that goes no where currently and the fact that we didn’t use outside corners; this is so on a few years we can build an attached garage without having to tear off and rework anything we’ve already done. Planning is always a key part of the project!

One of my favorite parts of a projects is drywall…. Let me explain; when drywall goes up you are cresting the jump, all the rough stuff is done, this is the last of the really dusty parts, and this is when you can really see what the spaces will be.

Now actually preforming this portion of the project; less the favorable, it’s too dusty, buttttt it needs to be done!

Realizing now we’ve been so busy that other than stories there has been no updates of our 2000 sqft full gut renovation posted so let’s jump back a couple months to when we just finished rough-ins and got the house completely sprayfoamed to current code.

Between the new insulation and windows we were able to go from a 120k furnace to a 60k because the house is that much more efficient
•
Speaking from experience the gain in efficiency is fantastic on the energy bills and comfort
•

I believe this will sadly be our last deck of the year but it sure is a beaut!

Recently we installed a kitchen for our friend at her camp project! Quick little kitchen install we were able to knock out in a day!
