🎉 We are celebrating our summer interns all week long.

Today, we’re spotlighting Sarah Marcos!

“Hello, my name is Sarah Marcos and I am from New Milford, Connecticut. I recently earned my bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design and Technology and will begin my Master of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University this fall.

Growing up in a Guatemalan household gave me a deep appreciation for community, culture, and the importance of creating spaces that foster connection. Those experiences continue to shape the way I think about architecture and the kinds of spaces I hope to bring to life.

I’m grateful to be spending the summer at Pickard Chilton, where I have the opportunity each day to learn from an incredible team, contribute wherever I can, and continue growing as a designer.”

Breaking ground in Dallas, Knox & McKinney is a 12-story boutique office and luxury retail destination at a prominent corner in the Knox Street neighborhood. This building, designed by Pickard Chilton in partnership with HKS, brings together 280,000 square feet of premier office space with curated ground floor retail and dining. Hospitality inspired amenities, including a high-end fitness center, tenant lounge, expansive terraces, and conference spaces, support a more flexible and elevated workplace experience. DPR Construction is serving as the general contractors, and the project is under development by Trammell Crow Company, BDT & MSD Partners, Gillon Property Group, The Summers Group, and The Retail Connection.

With its high-performance facade, natural stone detailing, and sweeping curved glass, the tower is shaped to capture panoramic views and contribute to the energy of the surrounding neighborhood. Ideally positioned near the Katy Trail and the growing mix of shops and restaurants along Knox Street, the project reflects the continued evolution of this vibrant part of the district.
