       This is just one of many cracked steam boilers we replaced recently. The existing was a Weil Mclain EG 45 that we replaced with a new EG 45 with a coil (to have the option to add basement hydronic heating zone in the future). This was a relatively straight forward swap; rebuilt the riser/take off, header, Hartford loop, and equalizer as well.

Another cracked steam boiler, another speedy install restoring the heat for another family. Its that time of year, that steady drop in temperature, that need for heat. We have noticed a spike in calls regarding boiler issues that ended up being cracked boiler blocks and in turn need to be replaced. Along with this boiler replacement, our experienced techs/mechanics managed to replace the water heater for the customer as well, all at once.

If you have a steam boiler and have white smoke coming out of the chimney, your boiler is most likely cracked. If you find yourself or an autofeed filling up your boiler daily, it may be cracked or losing water from a leak somewhere along heating system. Our boilers are cranking more than usually during this cold snap that we are feeling; this increases the ware and tare, along with the consistent expanding and contracting of the metal boiler block... leading to stresses and potential cracking points. Keep an eye out and monitor your boiler before it becomes an emergency. November 23 will forever be a day of remembrance for us. Honestly, not a day goes by that we don’t remember our dad (now reunited up above with his lifelong friend Andy), loving him, missing him and still learning from him!
On this day we are reminded how precious life is and to celebrate all the joys and blessings we have in our present lives. Today, November 23, 2025 is a day of joy as well, celebrating the third baptism of Neils’ grandchildren this year! Let us remember all those that have passed and let us never forget that life here is a gift, make it meaningful. In loving memory of Neil 8/18/1964-11/23/2016 and Happy Christening Day to Christopher James! May your day be as special as Neil and Lola’s.

At times…in a blink of an eye…in the flick of a second…in the flash of a moment, we can be flooded with life in full expression. And just as quickly we’re brought back to “ reality” , and we miss out on LIFE! 

It’s in these LIFE moments that we are filled with immense gratitude for our dad. This isn’t an “ aha” moment. Just taking time to reflect. 

And this  year as Neil David turned three, Lola turns one and Christopher James made his entrance in May… we can only hope as parents, uncles, friends- we uphold the love of family and community our dad encompassed. 

On this day, 8/18 , we say Happy Birthday and thank you for still being here for us.

Even though it's still summer, it's best to start thinking about the cooler weather coming your way!!!
