It’s only going to hit 100° this week… and your AC is already working overtime.
Most systems in our area weren’t built for this kind of sustained heat. They’re designed for the low 90s — so when it climbs into triple digits, a lot of them start struggling even if they’re “working.”
I put together a quick read explaining why this happens, what to watch for, and what might help when the heat really hits.

Read it here: https://repair-air.com/f/100-degrees-what-to-expect-and-what-you-can-do-about-it

If your system is already blowing warm air, running nonstop, or just not keeping up like it used to, don’t wait until it quits completely. Give me a call or text and I’ll take a look.

Stay cool out there!

Hi everyone,

New post: “R-22, R-410A, R-454B & R-32: What Homeowners Need to Know”

If your HVAC tech starts talking about refrigerants, it can get confusing fast. This post breaks down the four main ones used in residential systems, why R-22 is so expensive, how the newer low-GWP options (R-454B and R-32) work, and why you can’t just swap them between different types of equipment.

It also covers practical retrofit options for older R-22 systems and what matters most when your system needs refrigerant.
A quick, useful read if you have an older unit or just want to have a bit more information about your current system.

Hi everyone,
New post is up: “Why Your AC or Heat Pump May Struggle When Summer Shows Up”
We just came through our first week with a few days of 90°+ weather, and I’ve already been getting the usual calls: “My AC worked fine all spring… why is it struggling now that it’s actually hot?”
I explain exactly why this happens every year when the real heat arrives — including a clear breakdown for heat pump owners about why the system may still heat okay but suddenly struggle or stop completely in cooling mode.
If your AC isn’t performing the way you expected this week, it’s worth a quick read.

Hi everyone,
New post is up: “When Is It Time to Repair vs Replace Your HVAC System? A No-Nonsense Guide”
I get this question all the time — especially when the first heatwave hits.
In this post I break down the real factors you should consider (including age, repair cost, maintenance history, and how newer units are built differently) so you can make a smart decision instead of an emotional one.
Spoiler: A good repair is often the better choice — even on older systems.
Check it out and let me know what age your current system is! 👇
