David, born and raised in Maryland, began his journey in homebuilding as a teenager. A carpenter by trade he has invaluable hands-on experience with every aspect of carpentry from framing and interior trim to deck building and complete remodeling. For 18 years he was the Project Manager for Keswick Homes and oversaw the building process from start to finish. He has had his contractors license for

a few years and in 2016 decided to pursue his own construction company full time. His customers will attest to his hard work and total customer satisfaction. Sometimes the biggest transformation is overhead. ✨

For this Glenwood bedroom, we completed the entire custom ceiling treatment and relocated and installed four new recessed lights. The added detail and lighting completely changed the look and feel of the room!

We loved returning to the home of a previous client to give their laundry room a fresh, more functional update! And will be going back again soon to add a gas fireplace.

This transformation included:

• Custom built-in cabinetry above the washer and dryer and along the opposite wall
• New tile flooring
• Tile backsplash
• Custom wood countertop
• New light fixture

The added storage and workspace make this small room work so much harder—while still feeling warm and inviting.

We completed this hall bathroom remodel earlier this summer, and what a difference!

We reworked the space to make it both more functional and more beautiful, including:

• Built a new wall to create separation and privacy between the vanity area and the toilet/tub area
• Added a new linen closet for much-needed storage
• Installed custom cabinetry with a gorgeous double vanity
• Added tile around the tub/toilet area and continued it behind the sinks for a cohesive, finished look
• Updated the lighting, mirrors, countertops, fixtures and finishes throughout

The mix of the deep cabinetry, warm brass finishes, soft neutral tile and white countertops completely transformed this bathroom. 🤍

✨ ANOTHER SUMMER KITCHEN TRANSFORMATION IN THE MEADOW! ✨

We’ve been busy right here in The Meadow community in New Market, and this kitchen got quite the makeover! 🤍

We took the original oak kitchen and gave it a completely fresh, updated look with:

✨ New cabinetry and a much more finished layout
✨ Gorgeous new countertops
✨ New backsplash
✨ A beautiful custom hood area that makes the range a focal point
✨ Microwave relocated beside the refrigerator for a cleaner look and better function
✨ Added cabinetry and storage around the refrigerator
✨ New hardware
✨ Under-cabinet lighting
✨ A fresh, light color palette that completely changed the feel of the space

One of our favorite things about remodels like this is seeing just how much you can transform a kitchen without changing the entire footprint of the home. The before and after says it all!

✨ NEW MARKET KITCHEN TRANSFORMATION (The Meadow community)✨

We completed this kitchen remodel in New Market earlier this summer, and what a difference! ( so busy I am always behind on posting , lots of projects to share)

We took this dated kitchen and gave it a brighter, more functional update while making much better use of the space.

Some of our favorite changes:

🔨 Removed the old island and created a beautiful, larger new island
🤍 New quartz countertops
🏡 Beautiful farmhouse sink
✨ New backsplash
💡 Under-cabinet lighting
💡 Removed the dated ceiling fan and added pendant lighting over the island
🤍 Added a custom appliance garage beside the refrigerator to hide the microwave and small appliances
✨ Moving the microwave allowed us to replace the over-the-range microwave with a beautiful statement hood, completely changing the look of that wall
🖤 Updated cabinetry, hardware and finishes throughout

The homeowners had their new flooring completed separately before our portion of the project and chose to handle the wall painting themselves — but this transformation was too good not to share!

The new kitchen feels brighter, more open and much more intentional, with a huge island for gathering and a cleaner, custom look throughout.

I have to begin by saying that the WOW FACTOR is NEVER EVER LOST on a GET A ROOM INTERIORS kitchen collaboration! Designer Ellen Virden is known for incorporating and saving the existing elements that are still working while adding new materials and features that blend everything together perfectly. This Howard County kitchen highlights this unique design talent. Starting off with the cabinets, these modern flat fronts with oversized sleek hardware have been professionally refinished in Sherwin Williams Shoji White on the surround and Benjamin Moore’s Black Beauty on the island. Secondly, there was no question to save these gorgeous soap stone countertops that we don’t see often enough. The contrast of the new backsplash allows the countertops to stand out while brightening the entire space. Thirdly, the hardwood floors have been refinished in a warmer, not so yellow/orange stain color. Last but certainly not least, these spectacular pendants! The size and shape are just right and I especially love the reflection they give on the ceiling. Another beauty for the books 😘.

Another beautiful custom project completed by Coastal Trim & Design!

This space was transformed with a stunning coffered ceiling and custom built-in cabinetry surrounding the fireplace, creating a warm, elegant focal point for the entire room. We also added the faux wood beam mantel. The built-ins feature shaker-style cabinetry, natural wood tops, open shelving, and integrated LED lighting that beautifully highlights family photos and décor.

The coffered ceiling adds architectural detail and depth, while the custom millwork ties everything together for a timeless, high-end look.
