Unsatisfied Customer?

On Thursday I received a phone call from a client I performed some work for in October of last year. She was concerned about her grass turning brown. I informed her that the winter rye grass that I seeded with would not handle the heat that we have been having. She did not like my response and continued to talk about how brown her grass is. After talking with her I knew we were not going to cone to any type of agreement as she kept telling me how she waisted her money and she was going to be the one to do the seeding from here on out. I told her to have a nice day and goodbye and ended the phone call.

I then find out later on she left a rather nasty recommendation on my work page and on the Nextoor app. I took this as a direct assault on me personally and my work ethic. So I have responded to her on both platforms. I urge anyone reading this to go look at her posts and use your own judgment.

I am also attaching pictures of her "brown grass". Now in the contract I was paid to aerate, seed, and fertilize her yard. To which I fulfilled to the fullest. There was nothing in the contract about maintaining or cutting or performing any other work after the fertilizer was spread.

I have learned a valuable lesson from this customer. I need to be alot more specific in my contracts about the scope of work being performed as to prevent this from happening in the future.

Thanks to anyone who has read through this. Please leave your comments on whether or not you think I did the right thing or just your over all opinion on this subject.

Finished up a good little job today. The customer is getting outdoor carpet installed under her overhang and needed a good base for it to sit on. We put out 6 tobs of pug mix and compacted it down. The dirt hump is the customer's septic tank. It sits 2 inches below the dirt level is why we didn't level it all out.

All in all the customer is happy with the way the job turned out.

We also installed a downspout drain to prevent water from pooling up under the overhang.
