The biggest question that people ask those that work outside is "what do you do when it rains?" The answer is whatever we can do.

I was fortunate enough to be able and remove form boards and cut joints in the concrete. The rain helped keep the dust down and me cool while running that demo saw.

Perfect rain day/wet ground work!

Customer needed some gravel to level out low spots in driveway at one job site and in the parking lot of another job site. All they wanted was the rock delivered. So that's what we did! Even tried to help out by tailgating the rock on the driveway. Not the best, but it was the best we could do with a dump trailer. Still better than one large pile!

All in a days work!

We were able to hand dig and install a drain for this client (We had hand dig it due to utilities and gate size to the back yard). The customer was having some serious water problems! Their patio was being flooded whenever it rained.

We were able to install a 12 inch x 12 inch x 12 inch drain box to collect the water and channel it away. We also piped in the downspouts that contributed to the flooding problems.

We insured that the drain box was installed in the lowest elevation area with a laser transit. And also ensured we had proper elevation change from beginning to end.

All in all, this should drastically help their water problems.

A good rule of thumb when dealing with water. Don't try and fight it. Just give it a path of least resistance.

Mowing season is here, and safety always comes first at 5:8 Outdoor Designs 🌱

Before we fire up the mower, we make sure every yard is cleared of sticks, rocks, and debris that could become dangerous projectiles. We also check equipment, wear proper protection, and stay aware of our surroundings—especially pets, kids, and nearby vehicles.

A well-maintained lawn shouldn’t come at the cost of safety. Whether it’s your yard or ours, taking a few extra minutes to mow the right way makes all the difference.

There’s nothing better than repeat customers 🙌

We had the privilege of coming back out to take care of another project, and this one turned out amazing! We renovated a dry stream bed to give it a fresh, natural look AND installed a new downspout drain that now flows right into the stream bed—helping with drainage while adding to the overall aesthetic.
