Passiflora incarnate or Passion flower is a tropical looking vine that will grow in Litchfield County. It’s technically hardy to zone 5 but it’s best treated as an annual. This vine enjoyed our hot summer!

We were cleaning up one of our gardens yesterday when I noticed this. Originally, the containers were planted with Schizachyrium scoparium. At some point a couple of plants needed to be replaced. Due to availability, I ended up planting Schizachyrium ‘Standing Ovation’. I never noticed an difference between the two until yesterday. Standing Ovation has much more fall appeal.
