After months of designing, we’re gearing up for construction on a project we kicked off back in January! This is the part we love—watching every detail come together, week by week, layer by layer, until the vision becomes a home.

And this one is going to be FUN. Our wonderful clients gave us a brief we couldn’t love more: create a cheeky home bursting with personality, life, and color!

Big announcement coming soon! ✨

Seven years in the making start, this next chapter actually started with this renovation project alongside Ellen Sitkin of Thought Partner and Travis Spencer of Riverside Exteriors. Now, we’re teaming up again for something much bigger.

For the first time, Studio BKA is stepping into the architect-developer role on a project of our own. It’s already giving us an entirely new perspective on the development process—one that we know will make us even better architects and partners to our developer clients.

More soon. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on!

This project has a lot to say! She’s iconic and full of personality just like New Orleans!

When it came to designing the ornamental rear porch, we looked to some of our favorite Eastlake homes across New Orleans for inspiration. Rich millwork, layered ornament, and craftsmanship weren’t just decorative—they tell a story.
