We were recently called to assist Profex Inc. in installing this Curtain Wall at Wallkill Senior High School.

This was a tricky task that involved multiple rigging points, using chainfalls & hoists. A few members were welded at the end to brackets shop welded. All uprights were attached to the beam above with clips and drilled holes through the beam. Everything was lined up with a laser and plumbed up.

The material was 6” Channel on the ends and 6x6x5/16” HSS on the inside. They consisted of about 25’ lengths and varying in weight from 200-700 lbs a piece.

This will be turned into a glass wall with a workout gym behind it.

There’s always a first! Here’s a JayPro Sports Basketball hoop we installed about a month ago
for a private residence.

No welding involved, but lots of layout and drilling of holes, cutting material to length involved. The court was striped already prior to this.

It was set to regulation height of 10’, took only a few minor adjustments to get there. It is adjustable and can come down to I believe 8’ if remembered correctly.

It was attached to Purlins in the ceiling which were then closed up as well as attached to the beam.

Sometimes you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into, but always good to learn new things!

Here’s a few gates we installed recently. First picture we did back in July, and the neighbor actually walked by and asked if we could do one for him! Installed that one recently.

The second one was a little larger and required some shimming of base plates due to uneven ground and concrete, and a bit of a slope but we got it done. We grouted the base plates on that one.

I’ll be posting jobs we’ve done over the past couple months over the next few days since we had not been active.

This steel framing was all cut and fabricated, field measured, and welded onsite. The architect wasn’t giving answers so we got it done. The contractor was overwhelmingly surprised how well everything went together once we installed it.

The purpose of this steel is for a sunroom, and automatic doors will be installed/attached to it as well as built out with wood framing.

This is for one of our great customers, MBR Builders. Whenever steel work or onsite welding is needed, they call us.

Passed inspection on this 2 weeks ago, finished up painting with Rustoleum Smoke Gray today.

This stair was a bit of a fight to get done being a one man crew, but we got it done.

We did both the fabrication & installation.

Ran into a couple minor issues that involved reaching out to the architect & engineers for fixes & suggestions, and trying to manage other jobs we had going on put things behind schedule.

To say the least this job turned into a bit of a headache! But we managed to push through and get things done.

Happy with the end result, and next big stair I’ll be sure to hire a sub to help out 🤣

Just finished up this job for Hamshaw Lumber in Keene, NH. We’ve been MIA on this page for a few months, I’ll update with some more projects we’ve worked on during our inactivity in the next few days.

This job involved removal of 20 old I-Beams that they store there material on, and fabrication and installation of new bottom I-Beams as well as 12 extra cantilever I beams to keep on hand. New bolts, nuts, washers included.

30 years of water, and being in the elements will do this if precautions are not took to prevent it.

We also plated and welded out both sides of every column that was rusted out beyond the rust with 1/2” thick plates, sprayed with cold galvanizing spray afterwards.

This was the best fix for those to keep them going, and get a few more years. A more extensive repair was recommended in the future for these columns, which would involve shoring the building and moving lots of material.
