We don't travel to Howard County for work too much, but when we do it is for a major kitchen remodel. Three months of work and we just wrapped it up before the Christmas holiday. Finally had time to get back and take some finished pictures...This kitchen has a lot going on so this is just a preview, we will get in to more detailed descriptions later on in the week. All of our subcontractors did a magnificent job on this project.

One of the unique features of the screen porch we posted earlier this week was the double sliding screen door from SCREENEZE. We were probably one of the first to use this new product, as it just launched sometime in July. The system works off of two heavy duty drawer slides at the top along with slides mounted on the bottom of the door. The system worked great, but our homeowner wanted a cleaner look when the doors were in the closed position. So we scrapped the white track that felt out of place and put our thinking caps on. We came up with installing pieces of clear plexiglass for the bottom rollers to run on, in the open position and keeping the original track for the closed position. This allows the slides on the bottom of screen door to slide over a flat surface and not mar the decking (the original designed aluminum piece would have done this as well)and it gave our homeowners the minimal clean look that they wanted when the doors were closed. We checked on this after six month and it is still working great. Sometimes you just have to design as you go.

Say hello to the new work horse of the company. After twenty years of service with our E450 box van, we got a new ride. Keep a look out for the new Ford Motor Company F450 from Crouse Ford with our custom box from Complete Truck Bodies. Our friends from Shannon-Baum Signs updated our logo and got the truck looking great as usual with new vinyl lettering and 3M window tint. Now we just have to build out the interior and load all the tools in to it.
