Townhouse Gut Renovation | Chelsea, Manhattan, NYC

The renovation included a full gut of the existing space: 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, an office, and garden. The ceilings were raised and a reclaimed wood was added to create a warmth that spoke to the original detailing of the home.

The kitchen renovation included simple, white kitchen shaker style kitchen cabinetry that was complimented by a bright, yellow, Italian range.

This combination of sophistication and whimsy made its way throughout the rest of the space. The master bedroom was designed to exude warmth and intimacy. The fireplace was updated to have a modern look, offset by painted, exposed brick. We designed a custom asymmetrical headboard that hung off the wall and extended to the encapsulate the width of the room. We selected three silk bamboo rugs of complimenting colors to overlap and surround the bed. This theme of layering: simple, monochromatic whites and creams makes its way around the room and draws attention to the warmth and wood at the floor and ceilings.

Two bed, two bath co-op gut renovation in the East Village.

Matt and Angela purchased their first home — in estate condition. The two-bed, two-bath East Village Co-op needed a full, gut renovation to be move-in ready.

A somewhat minimalist couple, we were offered an opportunity to modify the floorplan in a way that de-prioritized starge, and instead focused on openness, light, and a modern feel. We chose to remove the partition between the kitchen and living room, and re-integrate the galley kitchen into the living space, as well as remove some closets in order to maximize living/sleeping areas.

The small kitchen was updated with pull-out pantry storage and and island storage as well. We added black soapstone on the counter and backsplash for a clean, but rustic look.

Embracing the smaller footprint in the bathrooms, we opted for a light, uniform tile for a spa-like environment. We used travertine on both the floor the floor and walls and designed custom oak vanities with a custom, quartzite built-in sink.

Throughout the apartment, we replaced the floors with a wide, alternating lengths oak plank. Prior to painting, we applied a skim coat to create a smooth finish on the walls throughout.

Office Interior Design | Dynamic Yield; Union Square NYC

Dynamic Yield approached us after raising their Series A, and deciding to move out of their coworking space into a dedicated, Union Square Office.

The loft needed a complete renovation. We removed all existing partitions and started from scratch. We created various-sized conference rooms, private offices, meeting rooms and phone booth at the perimeter, and filled the core with workspaces.

Bespoke, turn-key office design & construction for modern teams.

Office Interior Design | Anomoly; Soho, Manhattan NYC

For the advertising agency Anomaly in New York’s Soho neighborhood looking to expand, we created an office space for employees, clients and visitors to unwind, socialize, and throw back a few.

Our office design project showcased the building’s historic roots by exposing the plaster encompassing the space’s columns and perimeter and dropped it an 18-foot fully equipped bar made of marble and cold-rolled steel.

The bar is articulated by a raw copper ceiling; a material we reflected in the stools as well. Throughout the rest of the space, we assembled a combination of new and vintage furniture to create an atmosphere that is both warm and eclectic.
