There are two different main types of plungers
1) a toilet plunger
2) a sink/shower plunger.

The toilet plunger is narrow at the bottom so it can fit into a toilet.
The sink/shower plungers are flat for easier access.

Ever wonder why potholes are circular as opposed to square?

This is a much-debated question. In fact, Microsoft used to ask interviewees this question so they could speculate on their thinking capabilities.

Some answers include:

Holes are round, so it was the easiest to make the covers round. Safety; a round manhole cover, unlike a square one, will not fall back through its opening if rotated. A square cover, by contrast, could potentially fall through its opening if rotated diagonally.

These are all just speculation, though...

John Harrington invented the flushing toiled in 1596, hence the nickname “the John".
"The crapper” got its name because of Thomas Crapper, who brought it world recognition
