Program MQB RH850/V850 1402 Dashboard Keys with Xhorse Multi-Prog and VVDI2

The Xhorse XDMPR8GL MOB RH850/V850 Adapter is compatible with the Multi-Prog tool, allowing you to read MQB 48, MQB 49, and 5C dashboards without the need to cut any wires or lift any pins. This adapter supports a range of Volkswagen dashboard series, including VW Gen4 Johnson Controls, the 34XX series, and the MOB RH850 (R7F) series.

When used in combination with the Xhorse VVDI2, you can create dealer keys and add new keys by reading the encrypted IMMO data.

For example, the process can be demonstrated with a 1402 instrument cluster.

MOB RH850/V850 R7F701407 Key Programming with Xhorse Multi-Prog and VVDI2

This demonstration showcases the process of reading MOB-RH850 R7F701407 dashboard IMMO data, creating a dealer key, and adding a key using the Xhorse Multi-Prog, Programmer, and VVDI2. The Xhorse XDMPR8GL MOB RH850/V850 Adapter is essential for performing these functions. This adapter simplifies the job, making it both easier and safer—there’s no need to cut any wires or lift any pins!

STEP 1
Connect Xhorse tools,1407 dashboard and PC
Run Multi- Prog software
Select Device>>1407>>MQB48-LOCK (R7F701407)->READ (VW-> MQB) >> Detail

Check the connection diagram

Use a tweezer and heat gun to remove the 8 capacitors according to the diagram.

Scrape the PCB mask before soldering the GND wire to the soldering point. Solder the wires of Xhorse MQB RH850/V850 Cable to the corresponding position on 1407 dashboard PCB Secure the wires with acetate tape.

Connect MQB RH850/V850 Adapter to Multi-Prog Programmer
Connect Multi-Prog and VVDl2 Programmer to the PC by USB cables separately
Don't forget to connect the 12V power supply to Multi Prog as well

STEP 2
Read chip data by Xhorse Multi Prog
After connection, select “Crack Reading" to decode the chip and read the chip data.
You can check the read process in the bottom left corner. Wait patiently for a few minutes.
After the chip is reading successfully, click on “Save file" to save it.

STEP 3
Read lMMO data, make dealer key and add key by Xhorse VVDl2
Run VVDl2 software and select“VW”
Select Key Learn>> MOB platform instrument immobilizer>> instrument with locked NEC35xx(MOB48, VDO/JCI)

Select“Decode immodata
Click on “Yes" to load the encrypt data read by Xhorse Multi-Prog
Open the file.

Decoding is successful, press “OK" to save the lMMO data file
Finally, use the lMMO data to make dealer key and add key.

A customer encountered an error message, “Chip crack failed! Error code: 13050001,” while using the Xhorse Multi Prog with the XDNP24GL D80/35080 Adapter to erase an M35080 chip.

Suggestions for Erasing M35080:
Start by adjusting the VPP voltage to 4.5V.
If the crack still fails, increase the VPP voltage to 5V.
If it continues to fail, use the menu option that requires the 48-pin adapter.
If the tool indicates a successful erase but the chip remains unaltered, test whether the XDNP24 Adapter is faulty.
Check if pins 3, 4, and 5 between the two chips are conductible or if the resistance is around tens of ohms.
Locate pin 1 (marked by the white point) and check the other pins counterclockwise.

Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool is specifically designed to work seamlessly with VVDI2 or VVDI Key Tool Plus, enabling key addition for various MLB vehicle models, including VW, Audi, and others. One of its key features is that it eliminates the need to disassemble the chip, making the process more efficient and user-friendly. Below are some frequently asked questions for your reference.

1. Points Cost
Collect the original vehicle key: 200 points.
Collect the original vehicle key, but you have a VVDl MLB key: waive the current collection points, Each MLB key can only waive points once.
Collecting a VVDl key: does not require points!

2. Supported Vehicle Models
MLB-TOOL supports adding keys for Audi, Porsche, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Bentley, and other MLB8 model keys. (Doesn't support AKL)

3.Supported Keys
Supports original keys and VVDl MLB keys. Other aftermarket keys are not guaranteed.

How to Fix the Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus "No Device Language List" Issue

Step 1: Clear the Cache
Go to Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).

Step 2: Update the Database & Software
Upgrade both the database and software to the latest version.
After completing these steps, the error message should disappear, and the Key Tool Plus will work.
