We had a busy week last week!
We set three modular homes in Staten Island in a single day—two single-family homes and one two-family home.

We were also excited to welcome NYC HPD to the site to see the process firsthand—from modules arriving on site to homes being set in place by crane in just a matter of hours.

It was a great opportunity to share the progress we’re making and showcase how modular construction is helping us deliver resilient, energy-efficient affordable homeownership opportunities for Staten Islanders.

Urban Ecospaces is currently developing 15 affordable homes for sale coming soon in Staten Island through NYC HPD's Open Door Program. These climate-resilient homes will be available to eligible first-time homebuyers through the NYC Housing Connect lottery.

Morning: an empty lot.
Evening: a brand-new home.

Yesterday we set the first of 29 homes in our Staten Island affordable housing modular development — a milestone years in the making.

These lots once held homes lost to Hurricane Sandy. We’re rebuilding with resilient, energy-efficient designs that are built for the future.

From trucks rolling in with each section to cranes lifting them into place, the day was a masterclass in teamwork.

Started at 8 AM. Wrapped by 4 PM.

A full foundation—complete with 10-foot basement ceilings—for our 3,900 sq ft modern modular ranch project, installed with precision and speed.
