Another beautiful Carpe Diem memory has been indelibly etched in our minds. Morant Bay High School Alumni Association New York Chapter hosted its 38th Anniversary Fundraiser Dinner, Dance and Reunion at Eastwood Manor in Bronx, New York. The mission was accomplished. We fund raised for our beloved Alma Mater, celebrated icons in our society with awards and had scrumptious dinner plus dance, photo moments and 360 moments.
On behalf of the Executive body and our loyal and committed team members we thank you for 39 years of dedicated support.
Our esteemed Master of Ceremonies Andrew Braata Clarke kept the event moving smoothly, elegantly and culturally electrifying. He kept us laughin and comfortable while he worked to move the program along.
Our invocation was done by Rev Dr Ouerte- Andre H Duvert of St Luke's Episcopal. We give thanks for the Reverend and his congregants they have partnered with us for decades with prayers, gifts, attendance to this event and immeasurable support over the years.
Nicole Young graciously sung the American Anthem. While Rev Grace Jervis sung the Jamaican Anthem. It was so great seeing " Gracie" that we lovingly call her. She has been a keynote speaker at one of our prior Dinner and Dance.
We were able to listen to the messages of Acting Principal Kerry Ann Coombs and President of Atlanta Chapter Karen Allen. The Jamaica Chapter was well represented by Vice President Bertram Anderson and team. What a pleasure of commitment and representation every year. They add a flavor of excitement to their heart of commitment.
President Charles offered welcome and updated the patrons on our recent accomplishments as a chapter.
Leading into the highlight of the night was entertainment by Gianna Ray. What a beautiful voice, she sung with passion that moved the patrons.
