Winter doesn't break a parapet. It finishes what fell left open.

Rain slips into an open coping joint or tired mortar in October. The temperature drops. That water freezes, expands, and pushes the masonry apart from the inside. Thaw, refill, and freeze again all winter long.

By February, a small gap can be a loose brick.

The fix is simplest now, while the joints are still just joints.

Buildings don't leak through walls. They leak through seams.

The sill under a vent. The joint where cladding meets brick. The edge where the roof ends and the parapet begins. That is where water looks first.

At 122 West Street, we worked the seams from the roof down: waterproofing, stucco, metal cladding, coping.

Flashing seated and sealed. Edges taped by hand before a single bead of sealant. Coping leveled at the roofline.

Water looked for a way in. It ran out of places to try.

St. Raymond's Church full exterior restoration, completed:
▸ Masonry structures renovated
▸ Brick & cast stone rebuilt columns, arches, lintels
▸ Roofing, skylights & exterior stucco
▸ Full scaffolding installation

Every cast stone arch unit was dry-laid and verified on the ground before installation. That's the difference between a repair and a restoration.
